A Review of
Paul Becker's
Truly Huge
|
In Paul Becker’s Truly Huge, I didn’t really find a “muscle building program.” I did find a quick description of a muscle building philosophy, but the ebook doesn’t even approach the detail necessary to define it as a program (as I define a program = a specific plan an interested trainer can quickly adopt and follow).
There isn’t anything wrong with the philosophy presented. Becker successfully goes through some of the main tenets of hardgainer training. He does a decent job of explaining the power of progressive overload and how to use it to effectively gain muscle and also adequately explains the necessity of recuperation time.
But that is pretty much the extent of the training guidance provided. There are some sample routines but they seem to be presented in a way that would be add to the confusion of a beginner (rather than helping him solve the riddle of just where to start).
Diet is barely covered. Some basic principles are mentioned in the less than 2 pages devoted to dieting. There is a sample diet provided but I can’t see where the dieting information can give anyone the base they need to become truly huge.
Really, this ebook presents less information than you can find freely on a hundred sites, less than you would get from the free articles presented by many of the top programs’ authors. It is an extremely short ebook and, even then, has it’s share of “filler fluff.” 20% of the ebook is comprised of protein drink recipes.
There is no value in the bonuses outside of the free email guidance. The transcribed seminar is just a recap of the basic stuff presented in the ebook.
Conclusion: Not much here.
